Computer help for older people
We take the time and explain it without jargon. You do not have to keep up with the terminology to be helped properly.
What you notice
- You are afraid to change anything in case you break it.
- Something on the screen has changed and you do not know why.
- You get messages and cannot tell whether they are genuine.
- Video calls with children or grandchildren will not work.
- Someone explained it before, but too fast.
What we do about it
We explain it calmly, as often as needed, in ordinary words. Not having remembered it from last time is not a problem.
We make your computer or tablet easier to use: larger text, less clutter, and the things you use daily within reach.
We look at messages you do not trust. Older people are approached by fraudsters more often, and you are always welcome to call us about it, including when it turns out to be nothing.
A son, daughter or neighbour may call on your behalf. We will happily speak with whoever uses the device.
There are no stupid questions. The only awkward question is the one you do not ask and keep worrying about.
