We look at Apple too. A MacBook that will not power on, a broken screen, or an iMac that has become slow.
What we get asked about
- The screen is cracked or stays black.

What we do
There is something about Apple worth knowing: on modern Macs the storage is soldered to the main board. If that board fails, the storage cannot simply be removed and read the way it can on an ordinary laptop. That makes data recovery considerably harder, and sometimes impossible.
So with an Apple that will not start, we check first whether anything can still be saved, before anything else happens. And it is why we push harder for a working backup on Apple than on other brands.
If the screen is broken but the machine still runs, your material can usually be retrieved normally.
Still covered by warranty or AppleCare? We will say so, because you are better off there.
