Files deleted by accident
Gone is not always gone. But what you do in the first hours decides how much comes back.
What you notice
- You deleted something and already emptied the recycle bin.
- A folder vanished after an update.
- You accidentally saved over the wrong version.
- A stick or memory card is empty.
- You formatted the wrong drive.
What we do about it
Deleted files are usually still there; only the pointer to them is gone. As long as nothing is written over them, plenty can come back.
So what matters most is what you do not do: stop using the computer, do not install recovery software on that same drive, and save nothing new to it. Every write lowers the odds.
We read the drive on our own equipment so nothing changes on the original. Then you hear what is still there, before anything is restored.
The sooner you call, the more there is to get. This is one of the few things where hours genuinely matter.
Tell us what you are seeing. We will take it from there.
