What you notice
- The update hangs at a percentage.
- It rolls back with an error code.
- It retries every day.
- Since the update something else stopped working.
- There is no room to install it.
What we do about it
An update that rolls back leaves a code saying why. We read it instead of guessing, because the same message can have five different causes.
Lack of space is the most common reason. That is fixable without you losing anything.
If something stopped working since the update, we check whether it can be put back. Usually the update does not have to be undone for that.
Do not keep retrying for days. An update that stalls rarely fixes itself.
