Setting up a new computer
A new machine out of the box is not yet your machine. We turn it into something you can carry on with.
What you notice
- You have a new computer and are dreading setting it up.
- Everything from the old one has to come across.
- You do not want all the bundled programs left on it.
- Your printer and mail need to work again.
- You want to dispose of the old machine safely.
What we do about it
We move your files, mail, bookmarks and programs across and set the machine up the way you were used to. There is little left for you to hunt for afterwards.
We remove the bundled trials and promotional software. That helps speed and it stops the notifications.
On request we wipe the old machine so nothing can be retrieved. That matters more than people think: there is usually more on it than you remember.
Keep the old machine until the new one works. Only once everything runs do we dispose of the old one.
